Introduction | Publications | Organizing and Committee

I have been on a number of conference and workshop organizing committees, and have orchestrated a number of research events. I also belong to a number of professional associations.

CONFERENCES

General Chair

With Joe McCarthy, I co-chaired the ACM's 2002 Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW 2002).

With Dave Snowdon, I started the series of conferences dedicated to research into CVEs (Collaborative Virtual Environments). There have been three to date, CVE'96, CVE'98 and CVE 2000 which was sponsored by the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). With Chris Greenhalgh of Nottingham University in the UK, I was the technical program co-chair for CVE 2002 that took place in Bonn, Germany in September 2002.
